About Linda Roxe, L & D Images
Like all photographers, I see things with a personal eye---light. shadows, shapes. reflections on windows, water or ice, even in puddles. I see dawn and dusk, bright skies and gloom, sunsrise and sunsets. Sometimes I see things from odd angles-----a building, a tree, a shrub on a beach, a piece of architectural detail. Sometimes I isolate individual objects----a single leaf, a flower, seaweed or pebbles on the sand. Sometimes I keep things very literal. A perfect rose or a single orchid has such unique beauty that I want to preserve it. But there are times I look at objects on my computer screen and say "what if this were........" Hence train tracks become fused, colors are changed, buildings are "interpreted," colors are enhanced, changed, or become black and white. Shapes are changed or distorted. All of this because I like to think not only about what is but what might be.
